Release of Revised Provisional Selection List for the Chemistry Subject

 The Board had issued notification No.10/2019, dated 12.06.2019 for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Post-Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I for the year 2018-2019. As per the said notification, the Board conducted written competitive examination from 27.09.2019 to 29.09.2019 and the examination results were published on 18.10.2019 and 21.10.2019. The Board conducted certificate verification for the shortlisted candidates in 1:2 ratio on 08.11.2019 and 09.11.2019.

 The provisional selection list of 329 candidates for the subject Chemistry was published on 20.11.2019. After the publication of results, some of the candidates filed Writ Petitions (W.P.No. 34099/2019 and batches) before the Honorable High Court of Madras challenging the selection procedure. The Hon'ble High Court allowed the Writ Petition and the Writ Appeal No. 419 of 2020 filed by the Board in the said Writ Petition was also dismissed by the Division Bench of the Hon'ble High Court of Madras. The Board filed SLP before the Honorable Apex Court (Supreme Court of India) and the Hon'ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 3745 - 3754/2020, I.A No. 117448 of 2020 ordered to operate/revise the provisional selection list for the Chemistry Subject.

  As per the interim direction of the Honorable Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 3745-3754 of 2020, I.A No. 117448 of 2020, the Board reserved 10 seats and released the provisional selection list for the remaining vacancies in the subject Chemistry on 18.12.2020 and also stated while releasing the list that the selection would abide by the Judgement to be delivered by the Honorable Apex Court in the above said Civil Appeal.

 The Honorable Apex Court has delivered its final orders on 05.03.2021 in Civil Appeal No. 3745-3754 of 2020, and also dismissed the Review Petition on 09.11.2021 filed by this Board vide Diary No. 20967/2021 in C.A.Nos.3745-3754 of 2020.

  The Board released the revised Provisional Selection List published by this Board on 18.12.2020 for the subject Chemistry and implemented the order delivered on 09.01.2020 by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras in W.P. No.34099/2019 and in W.P.Nos.33167, 33175, 33176, 34106, 34109, 34118, 34127, 34133 and 34144 of 2019. After release of the revised provisional selection list on 15.11.2021, some candidates submitted their grievance petitions to consider their representations for selection. The representations of the petitioners have been considered by this Board and suitable orders were issued. As per the orders of the Hon'ble High Court in W.P. No.1649/2020 and other representations, the Teachers Recruitment Board decided to revise the provisional selection list published on 15.11.2021 for the subject Post Graduate Assistant Chemistry. According to the above Courts order and other representations, the Board now releases the Revised Provisional Selection List for the subject P.G. Chemistry.

  Utmost care has been taken in preparing the list and in publishing it. Incorrect list would not confer any right of enforcement. Teachers Recruitment Board reserves the right to correct any errors that may creep in at any stage.
